How Decerner handles your data

In short: Decerner is a geometry-based facial-analysis tool made for fun and curiosity. Your photo is analyzed and then discarded — it is never stored on our servers. The only data we keep is what you choose to submit to the leaderboard (a display name, gender and score).

Your photo

When you analyze or compare a face, the image is sent to our server, held in memory only long enough to detect facial landmarks, and then discarded. It is not written to disk, not logged, and not shared with anyone. We do not build a database of faces.

What we store

  • Leaderboard entries — only if you submit one: a display name, gender and score. No photos are attached.
  • Your profile and preferences — your name, bio, notes and chosen language are saved only in your own browser (localStorage). They never leave your device.

Third-party services

Some assets (web fonts and JavaScript libraries) load from public CDNs such as Google Fonts and cdnjs. Those providers may see your IP address when their files load. Decerner itself does not run advertising or third-party tracking.

Not an objective judgment

The score is a mathematical measure of how closely a face matches classical geometric proportions. It is not an objective measure of beauty or personal worth, and it is not medical, psychological or professional advice. Beauty is subjective and shaped by culture — please treat your score as a light-hearted, geometric perspective.

Fair use

  • Only upload photos you have the right to use. Do not upload someone else's photo without their consent.
  • Leaderboard names are filtered for abuse; inappropriate or spam entries may be removed.
  • The service is provided "as is", for entertainment, with no guarantees of accuracy or availability.
